Dovetail is a training organisation committed to empowering people to identify, support and respond to other’s addiction.
Dovetail Founder, Amira Kay is a recognised and experienced trainer and counsellor in the addiction field.
Following a career in the corporate sector, Amira has worked with people experiencing addiction and those affected by other's addiction. Her 20 years of experience has been gained in both private practice and government agencies. Since 2005, she has worked as an addiction counsellor at Turning Point Drug and Alcohol Services. In addition, she was a Senior Trainer for drug education programs at Uniting Care Regen.

Amira is a registered clinical psychotherapist and counsellor, has a Graduate Diploma in Alcohol and Other Drugs, and Australian Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Amira recognises the rippling impact addiction has on lives and that people affected by other's compulsive behaviour may be left struggling.

She is passionate about providing education and tools to improve people's lives by addressing these issues effectively.
